As we saw in the last blog, things are not always what they seem to be. We realized that elongated heads are not an isolated phenomenon. They are global, found in many cultures, thousands of kilometers apart and isolated by difficult barriers like oceans, mountains and deserts. The occurrence of elongated heads can be found over long periods of time throughout history, from over 45,000 years ago up to the present.
