Venus Figurines
These all date from 20,000 to 30,000 years ago. Common thought is that they were fertility idols, but no one really knows, and theories abound. At any rate, they were very popular and were widespread throughout Europe and the Middle East. There has even been a sort of Venus Figurine Factory excavated in france, where Paleolithic people produced Venus figurines all day long, and not much else. What do YOU think they are?

The Venus in the middle, with the beakish face, seems to be implying a connection between her womb with her left hand, and the object upraised in her right. I'm guessing the object is a horn of some kind and may be connected with the moon.
What are they made of?, very interesting.
The bust is made of mammoth ivory, and the 4 figures at the bottom are of fired clay (the first ceramics). I think the rock one is limestone.
Mahud- Yes many experts see the horn as a moon symbol. It could also have something to do with fertility. Some people also identify it as pornography for the use of lonely hunters.
